Rules for Participation on the Contests
- Any Individual voluntarily entering and / or participating in the website "www.uva24x7.com", hereafter referred to as the "website" and participating in the contest's are hereby bounded by these GENERAL RULES OF CONTESTS.
- All participants must be of 18 years and older to participate in the "contests" held by the website www.uva24x7.com. Participants below the age of 18 years old are also eligible to enter the "contests" provided they have the permission of their Parents and / or Legal Guardians to play and submit their answers to www.uva24x7.com.
- The website www.uva24x7.com is open for all age group of people starting right from the age group of 13 yrs and older.
- There is no bar on the number family members playing for a contest on the website www.uva24x7.com. (i.e.: if the entire members of a family choose to play a contest they would have to signup for individual accounts with the website www.uva24x7.com. No queries of otherwise nature will be entertained at later stages).
- All participants must be Indian citizens and has to have a physical residential address in India, to be able to claim their winnings. (As of now the site is only for INDIAN CITIZENS).
- "Users"/Members are bound by all the GRC (GENERAL RULES OF CONTESTS)/ the Terms of Agreement and the Privacy Policy as spelt out here and detailed in the website www.uva24x7.com irrespective of whether they have been read or not. Accessing the services on the "website" automatically deems that the "User" have read and understood all the contents of the Terms of Agreement, Privacy Policy and the GRC and has agreed to the same.
- "Users" may participate in the contests only once. Repeated entries and sidelining the system would be constituted as instant disapproval of the entries of the certain INDIVIDUAL ("User").
- Prizes won by the "Users" by participating in the contests will only be delivered at addresses within India only. This means that even if you are currently residing outside India, you have the option of giving us a valid Indian address & the details of the recipient of the said winnings, for the delivery of your prizes. The prizes will be sent through a reputed courier service at the mentioned address in case of you "User" winning a contest or while redeeming your "U-nutz". In certain cases of time based contests, which may include any events/screening of movies, the responsibility shall entirely be vested on the winners to collect their passes/prizes within the time period specified on the respective contest page, by appropriately identifying themselves.
- Mere participation of "Users" in the contests does entitle you "Users" to win a prize, but does not guarantee your "User" win.
- The winner of the contests will be intimated individually at the updated contact details provided by him / her on the website www.uva24x7.com.
- All rewards won by "Users", neither are transferable or exchangeable, nor under any circumstance be asked to be redeemed for cash. Any such enquiries will eventually lead to cancellation of the "User's" account immediately.
- There is no charges levied on "Users" for participating in any one of the many contests held by the website www.uva24x7.com, the only charges levied are the all inclusive subscription charges paid by "Premium User" at the start of their Membership.
- Participants entering contests held by the website www.uva24x7.com must agree/accent to receive information from the sponsors on their e-mail / postal addresses.
- www.uva24x7.com reserves the unquestionable right to terminate and /or cancel any promotions or contest's at its sole discretion.
- All contest winners have to pay the appropriate taxes and / or duties levied in the event they win any one of our games/promotions/contest activities.
- Winners for the games/promotions/contests activities shall be selected on the basis of random drawings from all the correct entries received during the period of the games/promotions/contests activities.
- All winners of the games/promotions/contests activities shall be notified directly by mail from the www.uva24x7.com team. UVA24x7 requests their esteemed "Users" to not fall prey to bogus people who claim to be a part of the UVA24x7 team.
- Decisions made by www.uva24x7.com shall be final and binding on all contestants regarding its winner for the games/promotions/contests activities and shall not be subjected to any further contestation.
- Team UVA24x7 reserves the lawful right to change/modify/withdraw any of these GRC's at its sole discretion.
- Under no circumstances shall www.uva24x7.com be held liable for any kind of warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied regarding the prizes. The manufacturers, services providers, supplier of the Rewards alone shall be liable for any guarantee or warranty, if any.
- www.uva24x7.com makes no actual representations as to the warranties, quality, sustainability, suitability or merchantability of the said rewards won by the "Users", to the maximum extent permitted by cyber laws / other laws (inclusive) in INDIA. The manufacturers, services providers, suppliers of the Rewards alone shall be liable for any guarantee or warranty, if any.
- www.uva24x7.com cannot be held liable for any kind of loss or damage whatsoever if/may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may have incurred, as a result of participating in any games or by rewards won thereafter.
- Sponsors of certain games/promotions/contests activities may alter or variate their rewards offered by them from time to time, hence www.uva24x7.com assumes / accepts no responsibility regarding the same (neither expressed nor implied).
- www.uva24x7.com shall not under any circumstances be asked to bear any transportation charges for the rewards won by the contestants. Winners shall be notified of their winning within 2 days of their winning that particular contests and a grace period of 15 days will be given for them to mail us with instructions as to how their winnings should be sent to them.
- UVA24x7 team reserves the lawful right to transfer the rewards or winnings of the winner in certain cases, if the contestant is disqualified or if the contestant fails to reply within the specified period of time allotted to claim their rewards, to the next winner.
- All rewards won, worth more than INR. 5,000/- value will be eligible for tax deduction @ 30.6% as per section 194 B of the Income Tax Act 1961 and 33.66% in the event that the values of the rewards are above 10 lacs.
- A requisition for TDS (Tax Deductible at source) will be sent to all the winners of games/promotions/contests activities above the mentioned limits, applicable on their winnings.
- Apart from the entitlement to the prize, the winner or his/her legal heirs will have no other rights or claims against www.uva24x7.com
- Every individual who is a citizen of India or is an Indian national residing out of India (Non Resident Indians – NRI's) has got the legal right to play the games/promotions/contests activities on the website www.uva24x7.com except the top level management involved in the creation of such games/promotions/contests activities.
- All claims for prizes won in the games/promotions/contests activities, after the sending of mails on part www.uva24x7.com should be completed within a period of 15 days and no less after which such claims shall be considered void.
- Any / all disputes are hereby subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai (formerly known as BOMBAY), Maharashtra, in India. Any such disputes arising against the team at UVA24x7, all legal charges for the trial if any are to be borne by the complainants. At no time shall the team at UVA24x7 be liable for any legal charges for disputes filled by the complainant's.
